Practical Environmental Management

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through emergency preparedness and risk assessment on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: incident investigation frequently stops at the immediate cause, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with permit to work systems, confined space entry and personal protective equipment in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Bring permit to work systems into line with current good practice, measured against ISO 45001
  • Explain confined space entry to someone who does not do the work
  • Put personal protective equipment on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
  • Take ownership of environmental impact assessment rather than escalating it
