Practical Financial Due Diligence
Finance and Accounting|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through revenue recognition and working capital management on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: audit findings are now a reputational matter as much as a technical one, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with consolidation, internal controls and lease accounting in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put consolidation on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Companies Act
- Spot where internal controls is failing before it becomes a finding
- Review lease accounting and say plainly whether it is working
- Bring financial instruments into line with current good practice
