Practical Laboratory Safety
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through internal auditing and equipment calibration on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: method validation is frequently treated as paperwork rather than as evidence, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with measurement uncertainty, document control and accreditation preparation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain measurement uncertainty to someone who does not do the work, measured against good laboratory practice
- Take ownership of document control rather than escalating it
- Make a decision about accreditation preparation without waiting for a specialist
- Improve sample handling and chain of custody within their own organisation
