Practical Permit to Work Systems
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through confined space entry and toolbox talks on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: environmental obligations are increasingly enforced against named individuals, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with emergency preparedness, safety auditing and contractor safety management in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where emergency preparedness is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Take ownership of safety auditing rather than escalating it
- Explain contractor safety management to someone who does not do the work
- Make a decision about safety management systems without waiting for a specialist
