Practical Power Factor Correction
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through insulation testing and condition monitoring on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with power factor correction, electrical safety procedure and load flow analysis in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve power factor correction within their own organisation, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Make a decision about electrical safety procedure without waiting for a specialist
- Explain load flow analysis to someone who does not do the work
- Review lockout and tagout and say plainly whether it is working
