Practical Risk Appetite and Tolerance
Risk and Compliance|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through risk identification and business continuity planning on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: risk registers are widely maintained and rarely used in an actual decision, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with third party risk, control design and key risk indicators in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of third party risk rather than escalating it, measured against ISO 31000
- Explain control design to someone who does not do the work
- Review key risk indicators and say plainly whether it is working
- Bring risk culture into line with current good practice
