Practical Safety Leadership
5 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through root cause analysis and safety auditing on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: safety systems are often documented to a standard that daily practice does not match, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with safety culture, contractor safety management and hazard identification in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where safety culture is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against ISO 45001
- Review contractor safety management and say plainly whether it is working
- Put hazard identification on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Improve permit to work systems within their own organisation
