Project Management Fundamentals: Tools and Techniques
Project Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through agile and scrum practice and project reporting on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: the coordination layer is usually the least trained and the most load bearing, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with critical path analysis, stakeholder communication and benefits realisation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where critical path analysis is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against earned value management
- Review stakeholder communication and say plainly whether it is working
- Take ownership of benefits realisation rather than escalating it
- Explain portfolio prioritisation to someone who does not do the work
