Public Finance Management Masterclass
Public Sector and Municipal Management|5 days|Classroom or live online
This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into revenue management, intergovernmental relations and the judgement calls that sit outside the Batho Pele principles. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because officials are held personally accountable under legislation many have never been trained on. Delegates leave able to work confidently with service delivery planning, public finance management and performance management in government in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where service delivery planning is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Batho Pele principles
- Make a decision about public finance management without waiting for a specialist
- Put performance management in government on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Improve municipal budgeting within their own organisation
