Quality Management Systems in the Public Sector

Laboratory and Quality Management|3 days|Classroom or live online

Quality Management Systems in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including measurement uncertainty, non-conformance management and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because quality managers are often appointed from the bench without management training, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with sample handling and chain of custody, equipment calibration and internal auditing in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Spot where sample handling and chain of custody is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against ISO 9001
  • Improve equipment calibration within their own organisation
  • Review internal auditing and say plainly whether it is working
  • Bring laboratory safety into line with current good practice
