Records Management in the Public Sector
Public Sector and Municipal Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
Records Management in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including supply chain compliance in government, audit action planning and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because officials are held personally accountable under legislation many have never been trained on, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with ethics in the public service, council procedure and revenue management in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve ethics in the public service within their own organisation, measured against the MFMA
- Put council procedure on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Review revenue management and say plainly whether it is working
- Make a decision about grant management without waiting for a specialist
