Renewable Energy Integration in the Public Sector

Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online

Renewable Energy Integration in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including insulation testing, load flow analysis and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with standby generation, condition monitoring and earthing and bonding in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Spot where standby generation is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Bring condition monitoring into line with current good practice
  • Explain earthing and bonding to someone who does not do the work
  • Make a decision about electrical safety procedure without waiting for a specialist

What the course covers
