Risk Appetite and Tolerance Auditing and Assurance
Risk and Compliance|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is written from the assurance side. Delegates learn to test whether risk reporting to the board and key risk indicators are working as claimed, and how to evidence the conclusion. Assurance work is under scrutiny because boards are being asked to evidence oversight, not merely assert it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with risk culture, internal audit interface and control testing in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review risk culture and say plainly whether it is working, measured against COSO ERM
- Make a decision about internal audit interface without waiting for a specialist
- Explain control testing to someone who does not do the work
- Spot where risk appetite and tolerance is failing before it becomes a finding
