Risk Appetite and Tolerance for Non-Specialists
Risk and Compliance|2 days|Classroom or live online
Risk Appetite and Tolerance for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through risk assessment methodology and risk reporting to the board without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because risk registers are widely maintained and rarely used in an actual decision, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with regulatory reporting, risk identification and combined assurance in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review regulatory reporting and say plainly whether it is working, measured against COSO ERM
- Spot where risk identification is failing before it becomes a finding
- Bring combined assurance into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of operational risk rather than escalating it
