Root Cause Analysis for Managers
Laboratory and Quality Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers accreditation preparation and equipment calibration from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because method validation is frequently treated as paperwork rather than as evidence, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with sample handling and chain of custody, measurement uncertainty and root cause analysis in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put sample handling and chain of custody on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against SANAS accreditation requirements
- Review measurement uncertainty and say plainly whether it is working
- Spot where root cause analysis is failing before it becomes a finding
- Improve laboratory design within their own organisation
