Safety Leadership for Non-Specialists
Health, Safety and Environment|5 days|Classroom or live online
Safety Leadership for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through permit to work systems and working at height without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because environmental obligations are increasingly enforced against named individuals, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with waste management, incident investigation and contractor safety management in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring waste management into line with current good practice, measured against ISO 14001
- Spot where incident investigation is failing before it becomes a finding
- Make a decision about contractor safety management without waiting for a specialist
- Explain personal protective equipment to someone who does not do the work
