Safety Leadership: Tools and Techniques

5 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through safety auditing and contractor safety management on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: incident investigation frequently stops at the immediate cause, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with personal protective equipment, confined space entry and occupational hygiene in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Put personal protective equipment on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Improve confined space entry within their own organisation
  • Explain occupational hygiene to someone who does not do the work
  • Spot where root cause analysis is failing before it becomes a finding
