Service Delivery Planning for Non-Specialists
Public Sector and Municipal Management|2 days|Classroom or live online
Service Delivery Planning for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through ethics in the public service and annual reporting without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because audit outcomes have become the dominant measure of municipal performance, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with integrated development planning, audit action planning and public participation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of integrated development planning rather than escalating it, measured against the MFMA
- Explain audit action planning to someone who does not do the work
- Improve public participation within their own organisation
- Put revenue management on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
