SQL for Analysts: Tools and Techniques

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through DAX and calculated measures and data governance on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: analysts are frequently self taught in the tool and untrained in the reasoning, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with statistical fundamentals, scenario modelling and data cleaning and preparation in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Make a decision about statistical fundamentals without waiting for a specialist, measured against established visualisation principles
  • Review scenario modelling and say plainly whether it is working
  • Bring data cleaning and preparation into line with current good practice
  • Explain data quality management to someone who does not do the work
