Stakeholder Management for Projects for Non-Specialists

Project Management|2 days|Classroom or live online

Stakeholder Management for Projects for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through project closure and scope definition without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because most project failure is visible in the schedule long before it is admitted in the status report, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with lessons learned, resource planning and agile and scrum practice in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Spot where lessons learned is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against earned value management
  • Explain resource planning to someone who does not do the work
  • Bring agile and scrum practice into line with current good practice
  • Take ownership of stakeholder communication rather than escalating it
