Standby Power Systems Reporting and Analytics

Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online

Standby Power Systems Reporting and Analytics focuses on the measurement layer: what to count, what it means and how to present it. Delegates work through insulation testing and circuit breaker operation and the reporting built on top of them. The reporting layer matters because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission. Delegates leave able to work confidently with standby generation, earthing and bonding and variable speed drives in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review standby generation and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Make a decision about earthing and bonding without waiting for a specialist
  • Take ownership of variable speed drives rather than escalating it
  • Spot where protection relays is failing before it becomes a finding
