Strategic Consequence Management
Public Sector and Municipal Management|5 days|Classroom or live online
Strategic Consequence Management looks at this work from the level at which it is resourced and defended. The focus is on revenue management, public finance management and how both connect to what the organisation is actually trying to achieve. This matters at the strategic level because officials are held personally accountable under legislation many have never been trained on. Delegates leave able to work confidently with performance management in government, annual reporting and intergovernmental relations in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put performance management in government on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Batho Pele principles
- Make a decision about annual reporting without waiting for a specialist
- Spot where intergovernmental relations is failing before it becomes a finding
- Review ethics in the public service and say plainly whether it is working
