Strategic Environmental Management
Health, Safety and Environment|5 days|Classroom or live online
Strategic Environmental Management looks at this work from the level at which it is resourced and defended. The focus is on hazard identification, contractor safety management and how both connect to what the organisation is actually trying to achieve. This matters at the strategic level because environmental obligations are increasingly enforced against named individuals. Delegates leave able to work confidently with environmental impact assessment, permit to work systems and risk assessment in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain environmental impact assessment to someone who does not do the work, measured against ISO 45001
- Take ownership of permit to work systems rather than escalating it
- Make a decision about risk assessment without waiting for a specialist
- Put legal appointments and duties on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
