Strategic Inventory Management looks at this work from the level at which it is resourced and defended. The focus is on strategic sourcing, demand planning and how both connect to what the organisation is actually trying to achieve. This matters at the strategic level because category spend is one of the few remaining places to find margin without cutting headcount. Delegates leave able to work confidently with supplier development, e-procurement systems and contract negotiation in their own organisation.
