Strategic Programme Management
Project Management|5 days|Classroom or live online
Strategic Programme Management looks at this work from the level at which it is resourced and defended. The focus is on scope definition, project initiation and how both connect to what the organisation is actually trying to achieve. This matters at the strategic level because most project failure is visible in the schedule long before it is admitted in the status report. Delegates leave able to work confidently with portfolio prioritisation, lessons learned and project reporting in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about portfolio prioritisation without waiting for a specialist, measured against PRINCE2
- Review lessons learned and say plainly whether it is working
- Take ownership of project reporting rather than escalating it
- Spot where critical path analysis is failing before it becomes a finding
