Strategic Substation Operation looks at this work from the level at which it is resourced and defended. The focus is on transformer maintenance, variable speed drives and how both connect to what the organisation is actually trying to achieve. This matters at the strategic level because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with cable fault location, standby generation and power factor correction in their own organisation.
