Substation Operation Auditing and Assurance
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is written from the assurance side. Delegates learn to test whether lockout and tagout and variable speed drives are working as claimed, and how to evidence the conclusion. Assurance work is under scrutiny because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with electrical safety procedure, arc flash assessment and standby generation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve electrical safety procedure within their own organisation, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
- Make a decision about arc flash assessment without waiting for a specialist
- Explain standby generation to someone who does not do the work
- Put cable fault location on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
