Total Cost of Ownership: Tools and Techniques
Procurement and Supply Chain|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through total cost of ownership and inventory optimisation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: category spend is one of the few remaining places to find margin without cutting headcount, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with supplier relationship management, tender evaluation and bid adjudication in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where supplier relationship management is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act
- Put tender evaluation on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Explain bid adjudication to someone who does not do the work
- Bring warehouse operations into line with current good practice
