Transformer Maintenance for Managers
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers electrical fault analysis and switchgear maintenance from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with electrical safety procedure, transformer maintenance and variable speed drives in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve electrical safety procedure within their own organisation, measured against IEC standards
- Take ownership of transformer maintenance rather than escalating it
- Review variable speed drives and say plainly whether it is working
- Bring power factor correction into line with current good practice
