Transformer Maintenance for Non-Specialists
Electrical and Power Engineering|2 days|Classroom or live online
Transformer Maintenance for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through transformer maintenance and electrical safety procedure without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with circuit breaker operation, lockout and tagout and cable fault location in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of circuit breaker operation rather than escalating it, measured against IEC standards
- Spot where lockout and tagout is failing before it becomes a finding
- Improve cable fault location within their own organisation
- Put motor control centres on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
