Transformer Maintenance for Small and Medium Enterprises
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
Transformer Maintenance for Small and Medium Enterprises takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including substation operation, circuit breaker operation and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with insulation testing, motor control centres and power factor correction in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve insulation testing within their own organisation, measured against IEC standards
- Bring motor control centres into line with current good practice
- Spot where power factor correction is failing before it becomes a finding
- Explain arc flash assessment to someone who does not do the work
What the course covers
