Transformer Maintenance in the Public Sector
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
Transformer Maintenance in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including transformer maintenance, cable fault location and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with substation operation, switchgear maintenance and arc flash assessment in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring substation operation into line with current good practice, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Review switchgear maintenance and say plainly whether it is working
- Improve arc flash assessment within their own organisation
- Explain power factor correction to someone who does not do the work
