Workforce Planning in the Public Sector
Human Resources|3 days|Classroom or live online
Workforce Planning in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including onboarding design, employee relations and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because workforce planning has moved from an administrative task to a board level concern, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with employment equity reporting, grievance handling and organisational design in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put employment equity reporting on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Ulrich HR business partner model
- Review grievance handling and say plainly whether it is working
- Improve organisational design within their own organisation
- Take ownership of skills development planning rather than escalating it
