Advanced Battery and UPS Systems

5 days|Delivered on request

This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into electrical safety procedure, cable fault location and the judgement calls that sit outside recognised arc flash assessment practice. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with condition monitoring, motor control centres and circuit breaker operation in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Improve condition monitoring within their own organisation, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
  • Explain motor control centres to someone who does not do the work
  • Make a decision about circuit breaker operation without waiting for a specialist
  • Put protection relays on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
