Practical Battery and UPS Systems
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through electrical safety procedure and cable fault location on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with circuit breaker operation, lockout and tagout and motor control centres in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about circuit breaker operation without waiting for a specialist, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Explain lockout and tagout to someone who does not do the work
- Bring motor control centres into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of condition monitoring rather than escalating it
