Advanced Circuit Breaker Operation

5 days|Delivered on request

This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into load flow analysis, electrical safety procedure and the judgement calls that sit outside the Occupational Health and Safety Act. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with circuit breaker operation, protection relays and arc flash assessment in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Spot where circuit breaker operation is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Improve protection relays within their own organisation
  • Take ownership of arc flash assessment rather than escalating it
  • Review transformer maintenance and say plainly whether it is working
