Practical Earthing and Bonding
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through transformer maintenance and circuit breaker operation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with substation operation, load flow analysis and electrical fault analysis in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about substation operation without waiting for a specialist, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
- Bring load flow analysis into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of electrical fault analysis rather than escalating it
- Improve variable speed drives within their own organisation
