Advanced Council and Committee Procedure
5 days|Delivered on request
This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into grant management, ethics in the public service and the judgement calls that sit outside the MFMA. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because officials are held personally accountable under legislation many have never been trained on. Delegates leave able to work confidently with public participation, intergovernmental relations and public finance management in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring public participation into line with current good practice, measured against the MFMA
- Make a decision about intergovernmental relations without waiting for a specialist
- Review public finance management and say plainly whether it is working
