Advanced Electrical Installation Standards

5 days|Delivered on request

This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into condition monitoring, power factor correction and the judgement calls that sit outside the Occupational Health and Safety Act. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with lockout and tagout, arc flash assessment and electrical fault analysis in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Put lockout and tagout on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Spot where arc flash assessment is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Take ownership of electrical fault analysis rather than escalating it
  • Explain earthing and bonding to someone who does not do the work
