Electrical Installation Standards Auditing and Assurance

3 days|Delivered on request

This programme is written from the assurance side. Delegates learn to test whether circuit breaker operation and electrical fault analysis are working as claimed, and how to evidence the conclusion. Assurance work is under scrutiny because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission. Delegates leave able to work confidently with power factor correction, condition monitoring and protection relays in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Put power factor correction on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Bring condition monitoring into line with current good practice
  • Make a decision about protection relays without waiting for a specialist
  • Review arc flash assessment and say plainly whether it is working
