Advanced Renewable Energy Integration

5 days|Delivered on request

This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into insulation testing, condition monitoring and the judgement calls that sit outside the Occupational Health and Safety Act. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission. Delegates leave able to work confidently with motor control centres, electrical safety procedure and cable fault location in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Improve motor control centres within their own organisation, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Review electrical safety procedure and say plainly whether it is working
  • Bring cable fault location into line with current good practice
  • Put earthing and bonding on a footing they can defend to a reviewer

What the course covers

  • Insulation testing
  • Condition monitoring
  • Motor control centres
  • Electrical safety procedure
  • Cable fault location
  • Earthing and bonding
  • Substation operation

Who should attend

  • electrical engineers
  • engineering managers
  • safety officers in electrical environments
  • maintenance technicians
  • substation operators
