Business Intelligence: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through statistical fundamentals and SQL querying on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: analysts are frequently self taught in the tool and untrained in the reasoning, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with report automation, data warehouse concepts and pivot table analysis in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain report automation to someone who does not do the work, measured against dimensional modelling practice
- Bring data warehouse concepts into line with current good practice
- Spot where pivot table analysis is failing before it becomes a finding
- Take ownership of scenario modelling rather than escalating it
