Excel Automation and Macros: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through SQL querying and DAX and calculated measures on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: analysts are frequently self taught in the tool and untrained in the reasoning, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with data quality management, report automation and spreadsheet controls in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put data quality management on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against recognised data governance frameworks
- Review report automation and say plainly whether it is working
- Explain spreadsheet controls to someone who does not do the work
- Bring pivot table analysis into line with current good practice
