Contractor Safety Management: Tools and Techniques

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through contractor safety management and hazard identification on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: safety systems are often documented to a standard that daily practice does not match, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with working at height, legal appointments and duties and incident investigation in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Explain working at height to someone who does not do the work, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Bring legal appointments and duties into line with current good practice
  • Take ownership of incident investigation rather than escalating it
  • Improve permit to work systems within their own organisation
