Data Visualisation: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through spreadsheet controls and data modelling on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: most organisations have more dashboards than decisions that depend on them, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with statistical fundamentals, visual encoding choices and report automation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put statistical fundamentals on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against recognised data governance frameworks
- Review visual encoding choices and say plainly whether it is working
- Explain report automation to someone who does not do the work
- Take ownership of KPI definition rather than escalating it
