Grant Management: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through ethics in the public service and performance management in government on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: service delivery failures usually trace back to planning rather than to budget, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with asset management, public finance management and audit action planning in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring asset management into line with current good practice, measured against the Municipal Systems Act
- Spot where public finance management is failing before it becomes a finding
- Put audit action planning on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Explain grant management to someone who does not do the work
