Incident Investigation: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through incident investigation and hazard identification on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: safety systems are often documented to a standard that daily practice does not match, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with contractor safety management, occupational hygiene and toolbox talks in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where contractor safety management is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Explain occupational hygiene to someone who does not do the work
- Improve toolbox talks within their own organisation
- Review safety management systems and say plainly whether it is working
