Leading Ergonomics in the Workplace Teams

3 days|Delivered on request

This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers safety auditing and occupational hygiene from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because environmental obligations are increasingly enforced against named individuals, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with toolbox talks, permit to work systems and emergency preparedness in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Take ownership of toolbox talks rather than escalating it, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Explain permit to work systems to someone who does not do the work
  • Improve emergency preparedness within their own organisation
  • Make a decision about working at height without waiting for a specialist
