Leading Fire Safety Management Teams

3 days|Delivered on request

This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers risk assessment and incident investigation from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because safety systems are often documented to a standard that daily practice does not match, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with occupational hygiene, contractor safety management and emergency preparedness in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review occupational hygiene and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Spot where contractor safety management is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Take ownership of emergency preparedness rather than escalating it
  • Explain safety management systems to someone who does not do the work
