Leading Incident Investigation Teams
3 days|Delivered on request
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers working at height and incident investigation from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because environmental obligations are increasingly enforced against named individuals, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with permit to work systems, environmental impact assessment and risk assessment in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain permit to work systems to someone who does not do the work, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Review environmental impact assessment and say plainly whether it is working
- Bring risk assessment into line with current good practice
- Make a decision about root cause analysis without waiting for a specialist
